Much in tercet ia being taken in tho matches to be 'ployed at the Show Grounds this afternoon between Marivaks and Linwood, and Christchurch and Old Boys. Should, however, the result of to-day's games leave two or more teams equal for the championship, it will be necessary to play off a further series of matches between those teams. In view of the anticipated large attendance, very complete arrangements have been made to admit tho publjo to the grounds and grand stand. Both matches will commence punctually at 2.45 p.m.

CHRIST'S COLLEGE v. BOYS* HIGH SCHOOL. „ Lovers of Ruffby football will have their | annual treat on Wednesday roxt, when Bo s High School will play Chirist's College. This ?ame has been noted for yoars for its clean, ast, and brilliant football. Bo'li schools this year are reputed to have exceptionally strong teams, and they both hold a high position jn their respective srad?3 of tho Rugby union competition.
