WELLINGTON, July g. Sir James Allen states that the Aatioiial Board hns agreed to the publication of the amount of compensation the Board considered sufficient to purchase the liquor traffic in terms of the proposal that the Statu should close down the traffic and pay compensation.

Ihe amount assessed bv the Board as the value of the traffic was £4,5(10,000.
