BANKS' PENINSULA RABBIT BOARD.
The quarterly meeting of the Banks Penitt* sula Rabbit Boaxd was hold on Wednesday. Present—Messrs H. A. Kutt (in tho chair), K. Uebbie, F. R. Ji. Gardiner, and C. L. Field. Correspondence waa read from tho Lyttelton Borough CounciL Messrs J. R» Thacker, W. H. Montgomery, Gobbio Broa* Orton Bradley, P. G. Birdling, R. J, Fleming, A. B. Birdling, F. G. Holmes, and W, Hayword with reference to tho proposed cm* ploymont of rabbiters, but it was decided 'to bold the matter over for a full meeting, owing to tho heavy weather preventing tho whol® of the Board from attending. Letters from tho inspector regarding an increase of salary, and from tho Akaroa County Council, were also held over for consideration at next meeting. Tho inspector reported bavins visited Pigeon Bay, Port Levy, Purau. Diamond Harbour, Ch*rteris Bay, Teddington, Gebbio'a Valley, Kaitnna, Ninety-mile Beach, "and Little River. Things wore much the 6ame as on his last visit, tho exceptions being til© reserve at the Pilot Station and the Government reserve adjoining. He had killed 63 rabbits. The fonoe required attention in some parte. Tho collector reported that rates to ths value of £28 lis 9d were still outstanding for 1917-18, and also arrears'of previous years. The damage to the Motnkarara goto was discussed, and on the motion of Meesre Gardiner and Field it waa decided not to press tho claim under the circumstances.
