SPLENDID DISPLAY OF ROOTS AND VEGETABLES.
"4 At the recent Winter Show at Hamilton, there was an exceptionally fine showing of swede, mangel, and ctfrrot. roots. \ "The finest display of roots and vegetables ever made in New Zeaiand or Australia," was the opinion of tho leading experts upon the exhibit of Messrs F. Cooper, Ltd., well-known whilesale seed growers of Wellington. Upon their stand were to be seen perfect specimens of Cooper's Major, and Matchless White Carrots, also their Yellow Champion Carrot," which is the best Variety for daily farmers. The exhibit included fine onions, parsnips. pumpkins, marrows, and other vegetables. The display of mangels was exceptionally good, Jersey Queen, Mammoth Long Red. and Globe types being, staged. The exhibit was tlw admiration of thousands of visitors. In the comretition classes at the show. Messrs H. W. Mackreth. H. C. Wallace, W. Runciman, G. Manktelow, and others, were successful exhibitors from the produce of Cooper's Seeds. In the Government trials at Ruakura State Farm in 1918, Cooper's Seeds were particularly successful, the germination being exceptionally stronir. Many of the splendid specimens of carrot, mangel, etc.. displayed on the stand of the Department of Agriculture were nroducpd from Cooper's Grown Seeds.
