NEW SOUTH WALES REVENtJE. (By Cahl«.—Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, July 1. The New South Wales revenuo returns amount to £25,560,632 showing a surplus of £23,824. The big strike in August, apart from loss' of revenue, cost the State £189,000. Loan expenditure was kept down to £4,62p,0C0, and this vear it is proposed to limit it to £2,600.000. The revenue of Victoria totalled £12,2{>9,710, giving a surplus of £350,780. South Australia's returns show that the revenue amounted to £5,531,772, an increase of £673,338, compared with the previous year. It is expected thatr a surplus of £23,000 will bo available. • RETURNED SOLDIERS' PLEDGE. SYDNEY. July 1. A meeting of returned soldiers in ths Town Hall passed a resolution pledging themselves to do all in their power to secure recruits, and urging Senator Pearce, Minister of Defence, to empower the Stato Commandant to deal with disloyalists. s
