RAM AND EWE FAIR.
SUCCESSFUL STUD SALE. There was a lair attendance breeders at, the second day of th« C'hristchurcE Ram and Ewo lair, lieM under the auspices of the Canterbury A. and P. Association yesterday, aud the salo of studs on the whole was successful one. The entries were as follows: —
Practically the only breed which me? with a really spirited demand was the English Leicester, and swncv good prices were realised. Lincoln College topped the market with a picture of a ram, which fetched lOOgs, the buyer being Mr J. Murray, of 'NVoodhanfc. Mr I'j. Kolland received •">^ifor an imported two-shear nun, and fr'ood prices were also received by Mr .1. Andrew and Messrs Jl. and J. J?®id, of Dnrfie'.d, Tho other breeds sold very patchilv indeed, an odd ram changing hands for n fairly satisfactory price, though there was nothing spectacular. The sheep generally were brought, forward in very good condition. Tho range of prices was :—
