MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. Tlic oxccdtivo of the Red Cross met y»jaicrdny alternoon, Mr Arthur IS. G. Khode3 presiding. Kepliss wore road relating to epaco on oversea ships for lied Cross goods, to the effect thut the tecretaiy would bo advisod when any space was availablo for Europe; und that goods sent to Wellington for the East ivould bo forwarded at tno first opportunity. s The High Commissioner wrote (through the -Minister of Internal Affairs) that extra comforts would bo welcomed for prisoners of war, especially tinned meat and londensed milk. Mr J. A. Flcshcr asked what tho position of the lied Cross was in this matter. The chairman said that no one <-'uld send any food to prisoners of war—military, nuval, and civil—except through the Hett Crose. Tho Lyttelton Branch forwarded £100, wjth a request that it should bo forwarded to London. * It was decided to convey tho thanks of the executive to tho Auto-Pierrots, to Mr Sidney Williamson, and to the lied Croaj Motor Carnival Committee for subscriptions forwarded.
