BOY SCOUTS.
ANNUAL MEETING OP No. 1 DISTRICT. The annuai meeting of the Christohurcli No. 1 District Boy Scouts was held last night, District Commander Schwartz presiding' over a fairly good attendance. The annual report stated that the finances were in a f»ir condition: and the funds had been augmented by a generous donation from tho Avonaiao and ilerivalo Troops. On all aides i. great improvement had been noted in Bcout matters since last year's committee was appointed. The donors of donations to the district funds, and also 6€veral firms who had given trophies for competition were thanked. The Teport acd bulanoe-ebeet were adopted. Chief Scoutmaster Brown, Scoutmasters Hughes, Worthington, and Collins were elected to the committee for the ensuing year. A hearty vote of thanks iraa accorded the district secretary, Mr J. Clemens, for his work during the year. The following have, been appointed as the citizens' representatives on committee of the No. 1 District:—Superintendent C. C. "Warner, Superintendent Thomas (St. John Ambulance), Messrs A. Williams, F. M. Collins, and W. E. D. Bishop.
