HARVEST FESTIVALS.
■ Harvest thanksgiving services were held on Sunday, at tho AVoolston Methodist Church, and were well attended. The church .was- prettily dccorated with fruit, flowers, and vegetables. The prcachers were" Revs. Blamires, F. Copcland, and j[ r i) ;l vio. Tho choir, under tho leadership o£ Mr Buising, with Mr D. McHarg at tho organ, gave harvest anthems, uud solos were sung by Mies Gertrude Priestly, Mesdames Gallop, Godman, Messrs Gallop, and Arnold. The annual distribution of Sunday school prizes wa3 held in the afternoon, when Miss McConne! assisted at the organ. . ... Very successful harvest thanksgiving services were held in tho Lifiwood Congregational Church on Sunday. The chureti was very tastefully decorated with a large variety of flowers, fruits, and produce. inc cnoir, under Mr i\ Penfold, contributed suitable anthems. The morning service was conducted by the minister, the Lev Allen Job, who spoko on "Nature, Her Master and Her Handmaid." In the evening the pulpit was occupied by the Rev. G. H. Eastman, of the Cook Islands, who spoke on lhc Harvest of the World," and made a stirring appeal for greater interest in the work of foreign missions.
