GOLF.
RANGIORA 01/ÜB. The annual meeting of the Rangiora Golf Club was held last evening, Mr W. A. Banks presiding. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £24 12s lid. The report and balancesheet were adopted. Seven new members were elected. The tender of Messrs Gold in g- and Thompson, at £62 16s, for the addition lot two rooms to tne pavilion, was accepted. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the ladies for providing afternoon tea during tho season. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Hon. D. Buddo, M.P.; president,Mr H. J. Gulliver; vice-presidents, Messrs P. B. Glasgow and W. A. Banks; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. Smith; captain, Mr J. K. Macfarlano; ladies' captain, Miss Lymkey; committee, Misses Ambrose, Keir, Glasgow, Cunningham, Fear, Horrell, and Mrs van Aach; Ground Committee, Messrs Gulliver, Glasgow, Banks, and Wilson; handicappers, Miss Lynskey and Mr J. Macfarlane. It was decided to open the" season on April 6th. Trophies were presented by Messrs F. B. Glasgow, R. Smith, L. Wilson, and H. J. Gulliver.
