The Commissioner 6aid that the demar.d3 of the Union were similar to those presented ir. Wellington. In the agreement arrived at theie, there was a clause to the effect that application should be made for it to be ratified in the other centree. The Commkeioner pointed out that the Union's demands would alter the old Canterbury award very little, except that a war bonus o! 10 per cent, was asked for. and a icw slight alterations were wanted. , ~ _ Bunting and Co. wore granua exemption, as they were working under another award. It wae decided to ratify the agreement arrived at in Wellington. The aW »rd will remain in force-nntil JaimSlet, 1320.
