Southerly to easterly breezes have ruled, with fair to cloudy conditions generally, l"-it scattered showers have been reported aion* tho east coast of the North Island. Liitts change in atmospheric pressure has taken place. Present indications arc for moderate to strong easterly winds, backing to northerly northwards ot New Plymouth and Cattlepoint, and northerlies prevailing and freshening elsewhere; the weather warmer but with increasing haze and cloudiness and a change following shortly. The barometer has a failing tendency.
