METHODIST MINISTERS' SALARIES.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE TRESS." Sir,—A curious piece of misinformation appears in y° ur issue of current date with regard to the salaries of Methodist ministers. \ o^l ' correspondent states that the Methodists do not distinguish in the matter of salary between married and single ministers." That shows how little he knows about the matter. TJ 1 ® ' that the stipend of a married Methodist minister is at least 25 per cent, higher than that of a single minister, 'assuming, that is, that by single minister is meant a probationer. In addition -to lus stipend the married minister is provided with a furnished house free of cost, and an allowance of £9 a year for each girl up to 18 years and for eaeli boy up t, 10 joarc ' March 12th.
