PERMITS TO RETAIL BUTCHERS. VI'KKSS ASSOCIATION TELEGEAiI. 1 WELLINGTON, March 11. The Primo Minister states that '18 •applications havo been received from ■retail butchers in connexion with the supply of meat from freez.ng works for sale to Uio public. Tho applications came from Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Wanganui, Southland, Otago. Taranaki, and Gisborne. Fortytwo permits havo been granted, and enquiries are being mado regarding the other applications.
