CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER,
"William. James Anderson was charged before iMr J. TV. Poynton, S.M., at the Hastings Magistrate's Cdurt on Friday with having committed Hanby causing the death of Jack Axford Orene, a Maori lad of seven years. The charge was the outcome of ,an accident which occnrrod on Karamu bridge, near Hastings, on "Draraday, Fehroaiy 28th, when the Mcased, riding a motor-cycle, collided *ijj&ie lad, whi> was thrown over the n3?bf the bridge into the water beKfj. and was drowned. Hie acoused was committed for trial tip Supreme Court in Napier. He *as admitted* to bail.
