The Austrian Defence Minis er stated in Parliament that it would be necessary to prevent the propagation of revolutionary principles by released soldiers from Russia, many of whom had joined the revolution and were coming home to conduct a propaganda on similar lines. GERMAN INTRIGUE. DISCLOSURES IN SPAIN. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Rcceivcd March TOth, 5.5 p.m.) MADRID, March 8There is widespread indignation in Spain owing to newspaper revelations of Gorman intrigues during 191G-li , and proving that the Embassy directly communicated with, and encouraged, syndicalists to organise revolutionary strikes and outrages on property, in ordor to produce unrest and confusion and embarrass the Government. The Embassy also initiated the anarchist meeting at which Count Romanones was assailed.
