♦ I | SUPREME COURT. j IN DIVORCE. A sitting of the Supreme Court in divorco was held before his Honour Mr Justice Herdman yesterday. CRADDOCK v. CRADDOCK. Eleanor Maude Craddock (Mr 0. T. J. Alpers) sought for a dissolution of her marriage with Frederick John Craddock, on the grounds of desertion. The case was not. defeuded. A decree nisi, to be made absolute in three months, was granted. Costs were allowed, and the interim custody of one child of the marriage was granted to petitioner. j WHITEMAN v. "WHITEMAN. Eugenie Emily Charlotte Whiteman (Mr Alpcrs) applied for a dissolution of her marriage with James Carlisle W r hiteman, on the grounds of misconduct. The case was undefended. A decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute in three months, petitioner l to_ have the Interim'custody of the ' children. Costs on the lowest scale were allowed. MAGISTERIAL. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Three first offenders were cach fined os, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. Patrick Butler was§ remanded for a week for medical treatment. Richard W r alsh and Leonard Hepburn were cacli fined 10s for the second offence. THEFT. Charged with the theft of a auantity of canvas, valued at £4 7s 6a, and pieces of tarpaulin, valued at ss, the property of the New Zealand Government, Charles John Nelson (Mr Hunt) was fined £5, in default one month's imprisonment. MAINTENANCE. Vernon Moore Radcliffo, who was £7 7s (id in arrears on an order for the maintenance of his wife, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, the warrant to bo suspended on condition he paid off the arrears at the rate of 22s 6d weekly. CIVIL CASES. In cach of the following cases Judgment for the amount claimed, with costs, was entered for the plaintiff by default: The Jiarnet Glass Rubber C:>.", Ltd. v. Walderman Hansen, £12 2s 2d; Massey Harris Co., Ltd. v. G. H. Mackenzie, £35 lis 4d; N.Z. Farmers' Co-op. Association, Ltd. v. William H. Tubman, £14 12s 4d i Benjamins, Ltd. v. John Jackson, £81 5s 9d. . SALE OF A MOTOR-CYCLE. A claim for £6, balance alleged to be due on the sale of a motor-cycle, was brought by Joseph Benton Hunt) against Leslie Behn, who claimed that the bicycle was bought by his brother. Judgment was given for the plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs. ' .
