AMBULANCE DAY.
NEXT FRIDAY'S APPEAL
'On Friday next, when there will bo i salo of badges, tho St. John Ambulance Association and Brigado will ask tho public of Christchurch to show their appreciation of its work. Money is required beoauso class-fees do not meet class expenses, public First Aid Depots must be kept fully equipped, numerous invalids require free ambulance transport, ambulances must bo maintained in running order, and accommodation and material must bo provided for members of the St. John Ambulanco Brigade, whoso services nro given gratuitously for tho public good throughout tho year. A small army of helpers is being organised, most of whom will be selling badges on the rarious stations nnd patrols. There will also bo stalls for the salo of Sowers and cakes. Tho hall of tho Chamber of Coinmerco Ims boon grant?d to the Association to bo used as headquarters during the day, and refreshments for helpers will be provided there.
