COURSING.
SELWYN CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Selwyn Coursing Club was held at the Queen's Hotel on Saturday afternoon, Mr J. Scott presiding over a fair Thp report anil balance-sheet were adopted. The latter showed tbe receipts to have been. £47 12s, and the expenditure £47 4s. Thanks were tendered to the land owner® who had giveu permission to course on their properties during the past season, also to donors of prizes. The rules submitted by the National Coursing Association of Now Zealand wero adopted. Touching reference was made to tho death, of Mr W. Scott, a member of tho committee. Tiie membership fee for the coming teaeon was fixed at 10a. Tho following officers were elected: —President, Mr W. H. Overton; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Bryan, J. Scott, C. Lange, J • Wood, E. L. Barnes. W. Grigsby, D. McKendrv, and J. Boyce; committee, Messrs W. Edgar, W. Hurley, J. H. Watson, P. Delargey, D. Cave, H. Ruddy, J. Donald, J. McCausland, J McMillan, J. Lewis, and B. Smith; hon. treasurer. Mr James Scott; hon. secretary, Mr Tom Reed; hon. auditor, Mr S. Johns. The appointment of delegate to the National Coursing_ Association was held over until next meeting. It was agreed that a l&-dog all-aged stake, at £2 2s each, bo held at Dunsandel in May, a similar fixture at Methvon in Juno, ana another in North Canterbury in July. A special vote of thanks was accorded tho secretary, Mr Reed, for his untiring efforts on behalf of tho "sport."
