HONG-KONG, March 1. A search resulted in 573 charred todies beinjr counted after the racecourse disaster, mostly Chinese. A cable message, dated Hong-Kong, February 27th, said:—A bamboo booth on a racecourse, seating several thousands, collapsed and took fire. Frightful scenes followed. A hundred, people were incinerated through the rapidity of the fire. The heat rendered assistance difficult.
