TENNIS, BOWLING, AND CROQUET CARNIVAL. LADY LIVERPOOL FUND BENEFITS. i A successful carnival. - promoted by the United Tennis, Bowling, and Croquet Club.sj on behalf of the Lady Liverpool Trench ' Comforts Fund, was held on tho club's courts and greens on\ Saturday afternoon. Among those present were their the Earl . and Countess of Liverpool and suite, and the Mayor (Mr H. Holland). During tho afternoon tennis, bowling", and croquet competitions were held, though the tennis tournament was not completed owing to the failing light. The games yot to be played will be decided this week. The Countess of Liverpool presented a couple of beautiful cakes, which were raffled, one being won by Mrs Menzies, and the other by Mrs F. M.
