LADY LIYERPOOL DEPOT NOTES.
The quarterly meeting of the General Committee will bo held next Wednesday, March 6th, at 2.15 p.m., in the City Council Chambers. A large mail arrived recently from Egypt, and Palestine. It is some time since we received acknowledgements from these fronts, consequently they were very welcome. ' A member of Canterbury Mounted Rifles, Palestine, writes: "This parcel I received yesterday (Christmas Day). As a matter of .fact, every New Zcalander out here received one with similar contents. Words cannot tell you how pleased wo were to receive them." .Another writing, on behalf of 3rd Squadron Mountedllifles, says: "I have much pleasure if sending you these iew lines on behalf of this squadron of 140 , men, acknowledging receipt of two parcels per man, including all ranks. The I parcels arrived in first-class condilion,
and were much appreciated. My regiment was in the front lino about m.io miles liortli-east of Jaffa." To quote one more: "Our Christmas was n. decidedly wet one, but all were cheerful, and for such cheerfulness under such adverse conditions, your committee and workers were in no small degree responsible.''
