OBITUARY.

The dcatli is announced of Mr John Brown, a director of various Auckland

companies. ' A Press Association tolegram announces the death of Mr Samuel Fletcher, or Gore, aged sixty-six years. For many years Mr Fletchcr was connected with the stock business as a dealer.

Mr Saru Cook, a well-known residont of Otaki, fell dead on Wednesday morning. He was for some time a native interpreter in Otaki, after which he went to Morrinsville. He was about sixty years of age, and leaves a widow and a*grown-up family of six. Private Georgo Cook, a well-known runner and representative footballer, is the youngest son. His other two sons are also on activc service.
