DEFENCE INQUIRY COMMISSION.
CHRISTCHURCH SITTINGS. The members of the Defence Enquirv Commission. Brigadier-Gen. Sir Robert Anderson (chairman) and Messrs Charles Rhodes and Peter Barr, arrived in Christchurch from Wellington vester day, Mr Barr proceeding to Dunedin on a flying visit. Tho Commission will formally open itChristchurch sittings this morninp- at 10 o'clock when it is understood Colonel Chaffey, Officer Commanding the fn,, terbury military district and other" members of the local Headquarters Staff will be called to give evidence.
