NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
Lectures at the School of Engineering, Canterbury College, begin on Saturday, March 16th. Tho annual general meeting of the Canterbury Caledonian Society will bo held tomorrow, at 8 p.m. The quarterly meeting of tho Canterbury Chamber of Commerce will bo held to-day at 3 p.m. The time within which City Council rates can be paid without the additional charge of ten per cent, is now drawing 10 a c.oso. A lecture of interest to business men and students of business science will be given in the Y.M.C.A. to-morrow evening, by Mr H. Balkin, The title of tho lectur© is •'Character Analysis."
