ASSAULT ON CLERGYMEN.
TWO MEN ARRESTED. Robert McKec, labourer, single, 19, and Michael Rowan, butcher, married,
32, have been arestcd in Feilding on a chargo of assaulting Iho Rev. Mr Stockwell and the Rev. Mr Miller at Feilding, on 15th inst., after a meeting of tho Protestant Political Association. The two men, and James Egan and S. McGrenl. butchers, are . also charged with disturbing the meeting. The accused were brought before the Court, and were remanded to 27th inst., bail being allowed, McKee and Rowan in the sum of £60 each.
