Two bovs, charged with the theft of a quantity of ammunition, were admonished and discharged. Mr Cassidy appeared for the accused. BY-LAW BREACHES. For cycling at night without a light, Fred. Gill was lined 10s and costs. James Mills and Frank S. Stevens were each fined. 40s and costs for motoring at an excessive speed. A similar fine was inflicted on Alexander Waddell for motoring too fast over a street intersection. Percy R. Webb, for leaving a motor-car unattended, was finod 10s end costs. Walter A. White, who rodo a motor-cycle along the foreshore at New Brighton, was fined 10s and costs. DEFENCE CASES. A large number of Senior Cadets were charged with failing to attend drill, and were dealt with as follows: Charles Brownie, John Maurice Morgan , Joseph Newsome, and Cormac Quickenden, each fined 20s, and costs. Edward Alexander Angus, Leslie P. Baker, Clarence J. P. Gregory (Mr Donnelly), James Cunningham Hare, Leonard Edward Lilley, "William P.'McCormack. John P. O'Connor, George Thomas Southam, and John Cox Willis each 10s and costs; Cocil Stewart, Mervvn C. Wilson, and Thomas E. Johnson. each os and costs; Lawrence F. Walker, Eric Saunders, Harold E. Coulthard. and William J. Richards, each convicted and discharged.
