THE ANNIE HELL. The renovation oi -the old schooner Annie Hiil, recently bought by Mr Robertson, of Auckland, is now well under way. Messrs Miller Bros., who hare undertaken the work, have removed several planks from the starboard top side of the ship, preparatory to fitting new timber, and a new keelson has been laid down, several planks having had to be sawn out from the vessel's side in order to make room to take the keelson aboard. The frame and planking of the ship is of Australian blue guru timber, and the* decks of kauri. Her frame is as solid as when new, and when the work is completed the Annie Hill should bo a useful Bailer. Tho owner, who has decided to place the vessel in tho Island trade, carrying copra, will probably fit her eventually with an auxiliary engine, and at tho same time remove the fo csle and cabins, at present below deck, and build a deckhouse on the poop deck for the accommodation of the crew, Urns greatly increasing the ship's carrying capacity. NEW ..JERTHING FACILITIES. The Lyttelton Harbour Board have placed two new mooring posts at No. 7 Breastwork in order to allow tlic Lilla and another vcfitel to be berthed there while tho work of refitting is being carried out. As tho shipwright's and engineer's workshops are situated in that vicinity the work of repairing, renovating, and refitting will be effected much more expeditiously than formerly. THB PICTURES. "Sleeping Fires," a picture drama starring Pauline Frederick, was presented nt yesterday's sessions in the Harbour Light Picture Theatre, and wiil be repeated tonight. A film nearly 8000 in length, ©ntitled "The Price She Paid," featuring the talented actress, Clara Kimball Young, will be screened at to-morrow's sessions. PADDY'S MARKET. The "Paddy's Market" to bo held in Norwich quay, Lyttelton, to-day by the local Red Cross workers, promises to be quite successful. The residents of the various Bays have given generously o£ farm and garden produce. »
