DUNEDIN, February 20: .At Burnside to-day 170 fat cattle were penned, mostly medium to good. The entry was about equal to butchers' requirements and a steady sale resulted at prices equal to last -week's 'rates. Extra prime bullocks made £22, prime £19 to £20 ss, medium £16 10s to £18 ss, light* £14 to £15 10s, prime cows and heifers £13 to £16, medium £11 os to £12 12s 6d, old and inferior £9 to. £10 10s. Sheepy—Only 1369 were the bulk being medium weights. Prices opened about 2s above last week's rates, but eased slightly towards the close. Extra prime wethers made 46s 9d, prime 39s to 425, medium 35s to 38s, others 34s 6d, extra prime ewes 45s 9d, prime 35s to 38s, medium 31s to 335, light 25s to 28s 6d. Lambs—sßß were penned. Tho quality was bettor than for several weeks. Freezing buyers were operating to a limited extent and prices were on a par with late rates. Extra prime made 32s 6d, prime 27s to 28s 9d, medium 24s to 25s 6d, light and unfinished 193 to 22s 6d. Pigs—There was a very keen . demand for fats, the sale being one of the best held at Burnside, for many years. Stores were in slow demand, and prices considerably below last week's rates.
