(Received February 19th, <.50 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, Februarv IS. At a meeting of the Union of Officers of the mercantile marine, the president condemned Germany's methods of submarine warfare, and declared that relations between neutral and German sailors ought to be suspended for a long time. The meeting rose en masse and applauded this sentiment. GERMAN CLAIMS REFUTED. (Australian and Is.Z. Cable Association.) (Reuter's Telegrams.) (Received February 20th, 1.30 a.m.) LONDON, February 19. A Berlin official report states: — "German forces raided the eastern part of the English channel on the night of February 15th. They sank an outpost steamer off Dover. "Our aircraft attacked on February 16th, British seaplanes accompanying a oonvoy from England to Rotterdam, and brought down one in flames." The British Admiralty contradicts these statements and denies that any ship ivas oven fired at.
