WHITE LEAD SUPPLIES.

WELLINGTON, October 19
The Hon. A. M. Myers, Minister of Munitions, when approached in regard to the present position of white lead supplies, stated that he was hopeful some time ago of relief being afforded to rhe Dominion by supplies being available from the Commonwealth of Australia, but he was now in rew.ipt of advice from the Director of Munitions, Melbourne, stating tWit it was regretted. ov.'iug to the impossibility of obtaining further supplies from Great Britain, and tho threatened serious shortage in Australia, that the exports ation of Australian supplies of white lead to New Zealand was being refused for the time being. Tho Director of Munitions in Australia, howorer, was prepared -to giv& sp-'via; consideration in regard to applications for supplies to be used exclusively for shipping purposes.
