BAPTIST BIBLE CLASS UNION.

THE EASTER CAMP. The Bastcr Camp of tha Baj/fist Bible Class Union was hold, at Greendale under ideal conditions, including splendid weather. About seventy encamped in the 'Domain, thirty coming from Dunedin and Timaru, and the remainder from the Christchurch. district, and through the generosity of the local representatives had an enjoyable time. Friday morning vraa spent in preparing camp, and in the afternoon a cricket match was played, which resulted—Otago 101 runs v. Canterbury 4L An oratorical contest was held in the evening for the T. E. Taylor Cup, and waa won by Messrs G. Hendry (Dunedin) und A. Lascellee (Timaru) with equal marks. The Annual business meeting was held on Saturday morning, and -the officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Pastor L. B. Busfield; vice-presidents, Messrs H. E, Hiddlestone, E. Chard; secretary and treasurer. Mr E. A. Nicol; executive, Messrs "VV. Pearson, E'. Goring, R.H udeon, H. North, and offioere. An invitation, was received to visit Mr T. "W. Adams's plantation and orchard, and this was much enjoyed. Tennis, cricket, and football were indulged in during the afternoon. and the ladies of the Greendale Tennis Club provided excellent afternoon tea to the campers. That evening the competition for the W. F. Stock Medal, on "What the Baptist Church Stands For,". wag held, and was won by Mr G. Hendry (Dunedin). Sunday was spent in services conducted by the oampers. Monday was athletic day, and well contested races were held among both junior and senior classes. A big crowd of visitors attended from the Christohurch and Greendale districts. Three shields were competed for in camp, namely, senior oratory, senior sports. and junior oratory and sports, and all three were won by tile Christchurch. classes. A sacrament service was held at night. A camp-fire concert was held at 9 p.m. At 8.30 a.m. yesterday the camper? , were conveyed by the motor-cars of Iheir I hosts to Norwood, whence they travelled by j train to their homes.
