WAR REGULATIONS

CHARGE AGAINST A CHRISTCHURCH NEWSPAPER.

An information has been laid against Frank Eugene Hyman, manager of the Lyttelton Times Company, charging him with a breach of the War Regulations issued on February sth, 1917, prohibiting the publication of news regarding the movements of oversea vessels. The information seta out that on February 13th, 1917, there was published in tne "Star" a statement of tho movements of a certain oversea vessel, that such information was published without the written consent of tho military authorities, and that such publication was contrary to No. 1 of the War Regulations macio on February oth, 1917. The hearing of the charge is set down for April 13th. at the Christchurch Magistrate's Court.
