EASTER KINK TOURNAMENT. - _ SECOND DAY. The Easter Rink Tournament was cpntinued on Saturday, the players again being 1 favoured with excellent weather. Seven rounds have been played, and two more are to bo played to-day, which will complete the sectional play. The sectional ties •will then bo played. Theso comprise all these rinks who secure as many wins a3, or more than, the lowest number which qualifies a rink sia winner of any section. In section D 110 rink can ecorc more than 7 wins; this will result in all rinks with 7 or more wins being included in the winners' section. This will bo decided on tho sudden death principle. Two riuka liavo done remarkably well, and have won all their seven games, viz., United (Spiller) and Scott (Sydenham). There were several 'very close games on Saturday, and the_ contests between a number of the competitors will be very keen to-day. The following are Saturday's results:— ST. ALBANS GREEN. SECTION A. AKAROA* Among tho many visitors to Akaroa are a number -of bowling enthusiasts. Favoured with ideal autumn weather, they have enjoyed friendly bowls .with local players of repute. A team of Rangiora bowlers, in particular, booked their holiday at Akaroa for tho express purpose of indulging in their favourite pastime at the popular seaside resort. On Thursday and Friday afternoons two interesting games were played, honours bding fairly even. Tho results; were:—Rangiora—Marshall, Jennings, McKay, Sharp (s) 26; Cummin gs (Dunedin), Williams, Bruce (s) 17. Rangiora—Marsh n 11, Jennings, Sinclair, Sharp (a) 25. Akaroa—Williams, Bruce, Munro. Brown (s) 26. In the letter game, tlio teams tied, 23 all, at tho last -head. In the play-o/F, a beautiful shot by Mun.ro, lying behind right on tho jack, gave the score to Akaroa.
