MEETING AT KAIAPOI
COMMITTEE APPOINTED
A public meeting 'was held in tho. Borough Council. Chamber, Kaiapoi, last uight, the Mayor (Mr j.«H. Blackwell) presiding, in response to tho request of the National Efficiency Board. The chairman stated that in tho borough very little land came under tho heading of farming, but it should be v possible y obtain assistance ; in flio town to help the farmers-in their work. It was tho duty of everyone to. increase too productiveness of even tho smallest 'adding. Messrs 6. A. -Allen, E. E. Papprill, ind W. Doubleda'y were nominated for tppointment as a local Advisory Comuittoo, and .to act % trustees for sol-? tiers called up. . ' | Further evidence was taken in Christchurch yesterday by Mr J. A. Frostick, Canterbury • Commissioner of tlio National EMciency. Mr Frostick will continue taking sncli evijenco as well lis general evidence until " next Thursday • when he proceeds to Cimaru to hold an enquiry there.
