MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
A general meeting of the Canterbury A. and P. Association's- Genenil Committee was bold yesterday, Mr J. Deans president, being in the chair. The following recommendations _w<sare received from the General Committee-: ■(1) That this meeting of members of the Canterbury A. and P. • Association is of opinion that. tying tho -wool round the throats ef sheep competing at the show "with string or any substitute for siring is fraudulent and unfair, and reI solve that it be a, recommendation to the incoming committee to frame a rule prohibiting any such practice in future. (2) It was suggested by a member that the incoming; committee s'lould consider the question} of earmarking of sheep -with the view of preventing breeders exhibiting sheep of other breeders, claiming to be bred by | themselves. (3) It was suggested by "a i member that the Railway Department be asked to allow horses to be loaded at the Show Grounds siding at the show. _ _ It was decided to refer clauses 1 ana 2 to the Sheep Committee, and clause 3 to the Ground Committee. ; Mr T.
