NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
A progressive euchre party and social will bo held in the Caledonian rooms on Tuesday, in aid of the X-ray department of the Christchurch. Hospital. A welcome-home and anniversary tea will be given at the Salvation Army Citadel next Thursday evening. The annual social in connexion with, the Builders' and Contractors' Association is to be held on tho 21st inst.
At tho Oxford terrace Uaptist Church to-morrow evoning the subject of the Rev. J. J. North's sermon will be: "What Christ Has Done for England." This is a supplementary sermon to the one preached by him last Sunday. To-morrow afternoon Sister Moody Bell will speak in the Grand Theatre oa "Tho ..White-slave TYaific, or the Sale of Women." The meeting will bo open to men and women. In tho evening the Rev. J. Cocker will conduct tho service.
