The following telegram was forwarded yesterday to the Prime Minister: —It is reported in the Press that the Government lias decided to proceed with the general elections on the Original date. Canterbury Committee Moderate ;League trusts report irtcoriect; but if correct regrets decieion,- as they consider the ensuing necessary ciganisation of. parties undesirable at present juncturo If statement correct, respectfully request Government to make- special provision for giving members Expeditionary Force ■ opportunity to record their votes on licensing question, as otherwise great change nught be effected in, condition of country during their absence and without their, approval.
