Grammar school boys havo offered to accept certificates instead of tho usual prizes for athletic sporte, the money aavod to So to the Patriotic Fund. There is an outcry that some commercial houses are allegedly adding ten per cent, on account of war risks to the price of goods, whereas tho actual war risk is titreo per cent.
Tho Government has taken ewer various steamers as troopships.
