AUSTRIAN REGIMENTS ANNIHILATED. RUSSIAN SUCCESS ON THE GALICTAN FRONTIER. .
(lloceivod August 14th, 11.10 p.m.) LONDON. August 14 (morning). Tho "Daily Chronicle's Milan correspondent states that five thousand Cos-
sacks annihilated two Austrian cavalry regiments from Lemberg, in. Galicia, which, emboldened by the Russian withdrawal, had advanced. The Governor of Lublin (in Russian Poland) got wind of the sally, and -apidly collected tho Cossecks, who were supported by a field battery, and prepared »n ambush in a dense forest skirtin" , the main road. Owing to rains the overflow of tho Vistula and the Wieperz had converted tho countryside apposite the forest into a vast swamp. The Austrians arrived in tho evening, and tho Governor allowed the advance guard to pass; When tho main body appeared sotnias of Cossacks charged them in front and rear, and quickfirers, hidden in the forest, mowed down tho cavaJry. Hundreds of terrified horses leapt into the marches and sank to fcheir haunches. Tbo Austrian regiments wcro wiped out.
