LONDON, August 2. Wheat—-The market is nominal. For
Australian cargoes afloat 42s and 42s 6d is being paid. Flour—Australian, on the spot, 80s. Chicago is weak, and there is heavy selling. September, 88s to 925; December, 91 5 6d to 965; May, 96s 6d. Tho wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,455.000 quarters, and for tho Continent 1,850,000. Atlantic shipments total 974,000, while the Pacific are nil. The total quantity for Europe is 1,360,000, and for Australasia 8000. Copra—The market is dull. South Sea, in bags, £23 10s. Hemp—The market is dull. Highpoint fair. June-August, £23 15s; June, no quotations. Rubber—Para, 2s 10d- Plantation, 2s; smoked, 2s 02d. All nominal. Cotton—August-September, 6.28 d. Tallow—ln stock, 3923 casks. Imports totalled 3904 casks, and deliveries 4226. Silver—The market has closed till Tuesday. . Galvanised iron—£l6 13s 9d. Fencing wire—l 37 per cent., losa 6 per cent.
