CENSORSHIP OF TELEGRAMS.
NEW ZEALAND REGULATIONS. (raESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, Augiist 3. A "Gazetto" extraordinary issued to-night contains regulations relating to the censorship of telegrams, which state that in time of war. or at any. time when in tho opinion of the Governor war is reasonable* to be apprehended, the Governor may, by warrant, close any telesrraph. stations, when.. it .hall ho unlawful to transmit or receive messages at such station. _ Further, the ■ Governor may authorise any person to.act as censor of telegraphic messages, either generally or in respect to any teleura'* station. While such authority remain in. force it is unlawful to -deliver or disclose any telegraphic message without the authority of the censor. The penalty is "fixed at a maximum fine of £100 or three months' imprisonment. The following censors have been appointed: Lieutenant-Colonel W. H. S. Moorhouse, Wellington (Dep-uty-Chief Censor);-G.
