OTTAWA, Juno 5. The Eon. J. D. Hazen, Minister of jtfarino, announced in the House of Commons that tho Empress of Ireland enquiry would begin on Juno 16th, at Quebec or Montreal. Lord Mersey is expected from England on tho 13th inst., to represent the Board of Trade. Tho assessors appointed to assist the Commission include Commander Ca- . borne, of the Royal Naval Reserve; Professor Welsh, of Newcastle, England'; Captain Demers and EngineerOommander Lowo, both of tho Canadian service.
