Tea—London reports under date 24th April:—lndian: Tho market opened very firm aftor the holidays: common tea can now be quoted at BJd. A lot of the tea gardens are now beginning to print their final invoices. Sales will now show a great reduction in quantity. j Ceylon : The market opened firm. The commonest teas at 9d were distinguished as firmer. Other grades wero inclined to be irregular. I Coffep—There has been a fair quantity at auction this week. Values fully \ steady and practically unchanged. ' Santos: About 3d higher for the week. Salmon—Repodis received indicate that prices for next season's pack will be much higher. An increase of 2s 6d per dozen on l's, and a corresponding" increase in J's is quite expected. Pineapples—Latest cables announce that the price of 1J cubes advanced 5d to 6d per dozen, and 2's,' whole, 6d. Sardines—Still very dear, and no immediate prospect of lower prices. The same remarks apply to fresh, kippered, red, and salted herrings, and also herrings in tomato sauce. Mildura Sultanas—The new fruit has now been landed, and the quality 16 first-class this season. Californian Fruits—Since last report prunes have been reduced 9d to Is 3d per cwt. Prunes are very scarce locally. Other lines unchanged. Mediterranean Fruits—Prices for old crop aro unaltered. Quotations for new crop are being anxiously awaited, and during tho next week probably quotations for currants and sultanas will be named. Woolpacks and Cornsacks—Very little business is being done. The mills are not pressing for business, but prefer to look on for a while in the hope that with crop prospects being good all the world over, demand will improve again ere long.

Linseed Oil—This article has advanced by Jd per gallon for July-August shipment, and next week will probably show a further advance.
