Mr B. V. Pemberton. Acting-Government Meteorologist, supplied tho following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— Tho weather has continued equally and showery in the northern, southern, and western districts Stormy conditions extended over tho whole country last night, but an improvement was reported from tho east coaet districts to-day. High south-westerly winds have predominated and the baroraei<-r has risen generaliy. Present indications are fox strong southerly and westerly winds and a further increase in barometic pressure. Cold and changeable weather is probable with scattered showers, especially in districts with a westerly aspect.
