MEETING AT RICCARTON.
COMMITTEE FORMED.
A meeting of those interested in tho Open Air Home for Children fund was held yesterday afternoon at the residence of the Mayor'(Mr J. T. Brown), There was a fair attendance, and much enthusiasm was shown. T>r Femvick outlined the objects of tho Home, and after hearing his .address, it was decided to form a committee. •The following ladies were proposed:— Mesdames Gourlay, Keys, Maxwell, W. T. D. Hnrman, Trevor Foster, Boyle, Deans, Harris, and Gould. The Mayor was elected president ol the Riccarton Branch. 'A vote of thanks-to the Mayor (Mr J. •T. Brown), for the use of his house, concluded the meeting. A public mpptinr;.-tvill be held in the Lmwood Public Library at four this afternoon, to appoint a committee to colle"t funds for the Children's OpenAir Homes.
