ELLESMERE.
A meeting of the Ellesmero Licensing Committee was held yesterday, Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.y presiding. A transfer of tho license of tho Hotol Metropole, Akaroa, from G. P. Wedo rell'to H. J. Bell, was granted. A conditional license for tho Banks Peninsula A. and P. Association Show was granted. The following licenses ,were granted: —Bruce, Madeira, Metropole (Akaroa), Somerset (Thivuuchclle, and Forsyth (Little River), on condition that improvements asked for hy tho polico be effected. Tho license of Waeckerle's- Hotel, Akaroa, was held over for 3 months, to allow of improvements being effected. The following renewals waro granted : —Hilltop, Ellesmero Arms (Leeston), Southbridge, Railway CDoyleston), Rolleston, Lincoln, Springston, Dunsaudel, Templeton, Junction (Kiilswell), and Prehbleton. ■ I
