Tho raoing at Ellerslie .to-morrow should be good. It 16 doubtful whether bo many visitors as usual aro on the scene, but results generally ahould pan out well for the club. Waterworks in tbo Maiden Steeplechase should prove oue of the hardest to beat, but loci has improved in jumping and oppearanoo too. Riro Atu will not _taxt. In tho Jorvoia Handicap Self, and for a good outsider Gold_r«, can, bo mentioned -monget the almost certain starters. Admiral Soult, Rock Ferry, and First Waixiki may be well supported for tho Maiden HurdUw, but this raco is open. Merrimax and Ru_y may- be good enough to bold their own in the Great Northern Hurdles Handicap, and Jolio Fille, Soultiioff, and Weo Olga in' the Cornwall Handicap. Pylos, dospite his fall the other morning, and Fireaway aro being backed for the Hunt Club Hurdles, but Cuixarna hails from a dangerous stable. Tripoli, Kakania, and Avon Park aro fancied candidates for the Members' Handicap, but the races are vory open. Peary may go out favowito on tbo second day for the. Great Northern Steeplechase, Weather indications axe more favourable to-night.
