Ia the St. Paul's schoolroom yesterday afternoon, the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union held a conference in order to allow the Rev. G. H. McNeur, of the Canton "Mission, and Miss McGregor an opportunity oi explaining the growth and work _of tho work being done there. Mrs Erwin presided/over a large attendance which gavo each of tbo speakers an attentive and appreciative hearing.. Mr McN-ur e-p_-_--Uy explained the progress of the work in tho outer regions, and stated that Bible _ women particularly were useful for extending, the work of C_risti_nisin2 the Chinese. In the evening a further meeting of the" Union was hsld, when further addresses were given. .
