A SURVIVOR'S STORY.
(Received Juno 2nd, 12. 5 a.m.) LONDON, June 1. Mnycock, a survivor of thc disaster, states that bo was boring with others in a byway when a noise, like that of a mighty gust of wind, carried him into tho maimvay. and ho was badly stunned. A great sheet of flame rushed by, scorching his face, and setting his clothes on fire. Ho extinguished the blaze, and crawled along tho bottom of the shaft, and communicated with tho officials.
Tho rescuers found others suffocated by aftor-damp.
The pit was regarded as the safest in Yorkshire.
